05.02Lights Out Asia preps new album.

Lights Out Asia is readying the follow-up to last years Tanks and Recognizers. Eyes Like Brontide finds Lights Out Asia getting a bit darker and heavier with longer more epic songs. The album in some sections even displays more aggressive passages that give their already dynamic sound more depth and dimension. Plans are for a summer or early fall release.

Arc Lab's The Goodbye Radio has hit XLR8R's recent office top ten.

Today is the street date for Arc Lab "The Goodbye Radio" and Another Electronic Musician's "Seed EP". Arc Lab has a track that is available for download over on XLR8R's Incite online for this week.

Another Electronic Musician's "Seed EP" finds Mr. Rex channeling his electro and techno record collection for a sound that veers into more (dare we say) danceable territory. A great teaser for his full length due out this fall.

11.06Out Today!

Today brings the release of 2 new albums and our first digital single. Near the Parenthesis drops his sophomore album "of soft construction". It's a perfect reflection of that "n5 sound" people so often speak of. Japan's Hologram release their debut North American album "hologram +" which finds n5MD stretching not only sonically but stylistically as well. "Hologram +" is equal parts post-rock and shoegaze with meaningful electronic treatments...pure bliss in our sumation. And last but not least SubtractiveLAD's "Decay as a lifestyle" single which features a track from his forthcoming album "Apparatus" plus 2 exclusive B-sides to tide you over until 2008....

09.12Fall 2007

It's the beginning of the fall release season and we have lots to report...

First up is the wonderful new addition to our roster of artists: Hologram. Hologram comes to n5MD as a license from Zankyo Records (Japan) and this November we will be releasing their US/CANADA/EU debut titled "hologram+". Samples are already up in the release section so you can check them out now.

Our fall and winter releases are all planned and on their way. On Oct 9th we'll be dropping the One Five Zero 2XCD comp, Funckarma's Refurbished Two and Last Days' These Places Are Now Ruins. On Nov 6th we will be releasing the Hologram debut album as well as the sophomore outing from Near The Parenthesis "of soft construction" plus the first in our digital single series by way of SubtractiveLAD's "Decay as a lifestyle EP" which features 1 song (plus 2 exclusive tracks) from his upcoming full-length Apparatus which is due in Feb 2008 along with Bitcrush's Epilogue in Waves.

Lights Out Asia have just completed an interview with Brett Spaceman of Silent Ballet you can check it here. For those of you in Japan Their album Tanks and Recognizers will be released in Japan by Zankyo Records on Oct 17th.
